No problem CC, you will do better on your next trip, wait till all them 7 1/2's and 8+'s start showing up.

You can get one at any tackle shop and walmart. You cant use a credit card though so bring cash. It takes two minutes to fill out the form and you are good to go. I would not go out of my way, just stop in a tackle shop near where you are crabbing.

the way i am reading the md license is that if you have a boat crab license all on board can crab however the total catch is only 1 bushel per boat, but if each person has a license, each person is allowed 1 bushel. just want to get things strait [not like our govenor}

Depending on what you read, i.e. the regulations that come with the boat license, everyone on board can have a bushel in possession because the boat license acts as an individual license for everyone on board. If you read the recreational crabbing rules and regulations, it states that only one bushel per vessel, unless two or more persons possess a license, then two bushels are allowed. Maryland could do a much better job on writing these regulations. If you get fined, hire an attorney.

I got my son the $3.50 license so I can get the extra bushel. Strange how I could take 16 stripers with 8 people on board, but only 2 bushels if I had 8 people crabbing???

The boat license is a sticker (actually 2 stickers, 1 for port, 1 for starboard) you mount next to the boat registration numbers on the bow.
