Rec. pot licences

     Does anyone know if in maryland someone can get a recreational crab pot license, and if so any ideas on where to get it.    Any help would be great.

I don't think you need a special crab pot license.  It should be covered by a regular crab licnese.  You may be limited to 2 pots though like it is in the First State.

Sometimes the rules are vague.  You could always call them or try a tackle shop in MD.  Herbs in North East comes to mind.  They're always helpful to me.

Crabbyboy, As far as I know, there is not a "recreational" pot license in MD. Waterfront property owners can put out 2 tied to their dock or within a limited distance from their property if identified with a float containing the required info. I believe only commercial crabbers licensed with a LCC or TFL permit are allowed pots. But as the previous post metioned, the DNR website in MD should be able to answer your questions. Have fun. ;
