Does anyone crab the Elk river area?  I'm thinking of taking a trip to that area w/ the wife & kid & was wondering if there is any good crabbing...

Most years you would do great around now in the Elk. But this year has been bad. I was out Monday for three hours and got 11 crabs. Still is a great place to visit.

IS there any where to rent a boat (preferably with motor) on the elk river?  I was under the impression that good crabbing was not available that far north, but it is so convenient to my house that I would love to crab there.

you better give it a couple more weeks..especially with all this rain taking away the salinity.....they haven't come that far up north yet..........and the rain ain't helpin..let me know if you give it a try..
