Just wondering-

How many does can a person take?

I heard a guy talking about taking a lot of deer HIMSELF- not a club or group or an US thing, but  " I shot x amount last year"

This was an overheard conversation, I chose not to ask questions about hunting in the aisle of home depot.

In NJ...we have so many different seasons and so many different zones!! In certain zones, for instance...there is unlimited does...meaning you can kill as many does as you wish. We have a doe problem in many areas of the state. Our seasons are early bow(only certain zones) then we have fall bow, extended bow, permit muzzle loader, buck week (whole state), permit shotgun and winter bow. In the zones that the limits are restricted...it's 2 deer per season. So, if you only hunted those zones...you could bag 14 rifle. But, you are allowed to buy special permits for different zones. For example, you can buy three different muzzle loader permits for different zones. You are still only able to take one buck....but usually as many does as you wish. Some zones are restricted to two deer only but not many. If what I'm saying is not clear, you could visit nj fish and game website...all the deer hunting regulations are posted on there.

WOW!

Thanks for the info. As you could probably tell, I don't hunt now..
A buddy of mine gives me all the meat I want, so I'll admit I kinda like sitting in front of the woodburning stove, watching it on TV tongue2

I may get my licenses again this year, just to get out in the woods again.
