10/22/07 Bow Kill

Couple pics of my first one of the season. Killed with a BowTech Pro38 at 18 yards.
The guys that hunt the farm beside me planned on doing some deer drives this evening for the doe only muzzle loader season. So hoping they would push something decent across the property line, I climbed into my stand for the evening with my bow. Seen 5 does and 2 smaller bucks plus the one I killed.
21 1/4 inches outside. First pic
Also attached a few pics of deer I killed in the past

Very nice collection. The smallest rack in there beats my biggest. You must be hunting some nice ground.

What can ya say but nice going. Thats one heck of a collection. I just started bow hunting the first time this year, in fact last Saturday. What a difference in the weather. We ussually freeze to death in PA. Not used to hunting in short sleeves. No wonder you all hunt archery. Bets are you got first crack at the lunkers. .. Freind shot 13 Pt. Non-Typical that was a beauty. Body was small 150Lb. Rack thick and high 11.5" tines.
Good going hope you have many more years of success.

Thanks guys. That deer in the second pic was to be mounted. I had it in the freezer waiting to go to the taxidermist, and somehow it got unplugged. Never seen one like that, with the additional horn growing out the center of its head. We called it the unicorn buck. Several of us had seen it early bow season but none of us got a shot. Then it disappeared and we feared it had got shot in muzzle loader season. But during the rut I was doing some heavy rattling, and he came running. Less than 10 yards with a bow.
