Well,  today since there was NOTHING to do, I sat and pulled meat from about two dozen crabs..made some crab balls and some crab dip...tomorrow I'm going to make Cream of Crab soup...but I'll tell you one thing...I sure just like them steamed and dipped in melted butter the best!!

Does anyone have any really good crab recipes that I could try??

Janice, go to the Main Menu and scroll down to "Recipes and Cooking Techniques.  Look for Crazy Crabbers post, "My Garlic Crab Recipe."  Made this for supper this evening and it was DEEEEEELISHOUS!!  Used beer instead of sherry -- couldn't find the darn bottle of cooking sherry.  I highly recommend this recipe.  It's great!  One word of caution though; there's only two ways to eat this great concoction: 1. Totally naked, followed by a warm shower, or 2. With a BIG bib, with a pocket on the bottom to catch the runoff.  Yup, it's that good!

You never cease to crack me up with your wording, Crabpop...rofl...okay, thanks...going to check on that right now...maybe will make for dinner tomorrow, but I don't think the kids would appreciate me running around naked!! (Bobby wouldn't mind, though!)

LOL...also, thanks for pointing out that board for me...the way I have this set up in my favorites...I just come here to this board...forever forgetting that there ARE other boards here!  I posted on a few topics over there, but now I have to go to bed...I'm all weathered out...waiting for this tropical storm that never did show up...it's been cancelled

Good night everyone.

I got plenty of crabmeat!  When we can't crab, we can get a half a bushel for only $27.50...you just can't BEAT that price...can only get them on Fridays at 5:00 though, in some guys driveway in Delmar, plus you have to order ahead of time...I am going to post my results of trying the garlic crab recipe under the appropriate post here....but all I can say is YUM!!!!
