So I'ved worked the past two or three seasons on a two commercial boats. One full time and one Part time.
I have well over 1200 hours. How do I find out where the 8hour class' are held?
Thanks,
-Nick

edit: Just emailed Dianne about the program.
Any additional input on this would be much appreciated guys/gals.

Call DNR, get your info right from the source..... You'd have to talk to them anyway to see if they would honor your hours on the commercial boat.... Hours towards the apprentice program I'm on have to be logged and turned in monthly and signed by a commercial waterman..... Call DNR, they'll answer all your questions.

Much thanks man, Mrs Samuels replied to my Emails and took care of all my questions.
You get to go back 10 years for your hours which really works out nicely.

Thanks again guys,

Hey Mr Steve.
Couldn't make it up to the clubhouse the other day, went to the movies with some friends.
But what I did find out was..
My hours go back for the past 10 years but she asks that I send in my documents in sections and not all at once for curtsy. But I just got my application form in the mail today;
Limited Crab Harvester - up to 50 pots: $50.00
Crab Harvester - up to 300 pots: $150.00

When I turn in this paperwork to DNR I get scheduled for the 8hour course which like you said will probably just be on how to document my hours.
Without a doubt I'm going to stick to the Limited Harvester. I'd spend more time getting the pots in and out then I would crabbing. And at the same time I can run the trot line and then hit the 50pots at the end of the day.

I only have school Tuesday and Wensday of next week, so I think I'ma make it up to the clubhouse next Friday for certain. I'll probably talk to you before then though.
Again, thanks for all the help guys.
