The Virginia Institute of Marine Science, in collaboration with the Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore, will present the next in a continuing series of public seminars on natural resource and ecological issues. 

 

 

Singing the Blues--What's Up (or Down) with the Blue Crab

in Chesapeake Bay?

 

 

Dr. Rom Lipcius

Professor of Marine Science

Department of Fisheries Science

Virginia Institute of Marine Science

 

 

Dr. Lipcius directs the Crustacean Ecology Program at VIMS and is the Institute’s senior scientist working on blue crabs.  His research in this area for the past 20 years has provided critical information for the management of this valuable fishery.

 

 

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Wachapreague, Virginia

 

 

The seminar is free and open to everyone.  Seating capacity is 65 people and space is available on a first come-first serve basis.  Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

Jack, I wonder what it would take for some of these Professors, Biologists and members of the DMF's to post responces on here or answer questions for all???

Lots of crabbers and crab lovers on here. If you enjoy crabs, lot's of info and good chat about crabs. Why not go ahead and donate to this forum. Deep down after doing research on here and chatting with others,you will find useful info from some new friends.ENJOY!!

How bout video taping and sellling dvds from the seminars for those of us who can't attend in person?  I for one would pay to see them, I'm sure there are others who would too.
