Boating Safety Course
«

After many years of navigating the creeks, backbays, streams, and lakes, I decided to go ahead and take the boat course offered by the Coast Guard Auxilary. Then I will have a certificate that will soon be required. I am very suprised at how much there is to learn, and how much I didnt know about water safety, and tips on handling emergent situations. This course is actualy fun! it is 20 hours, 10 weeks at 2 hours a class. I was always just an ole hillbilly heading for the water in my boat, now I got a whole new perspective. I never even owned a VHF radio or used one till I just now bought one. I don't even own a cell phone. If you get a chance, consider taking a course on boating.
