When i lost my crabpot i got angry (Duh?) and slammed my fishing rod multiple times against the car side. The tip is broken abit like an inch is split and the little ring that goes on the tip is gone. Is it permantantly broken?

Nope, go to your local tackel shop or Wally World and buy a tip replacement kit. It is the tip and some glue and it works fine. It will make your rod a few inches shorter than it was depending on where it broke but it will work just the same.

A few years ago my brother slammed the car door shut on one of my rods and snapped the tip off, and I got one of those rod repair kits, and it is good as new now. Real easy to repair. Just be sure the tip top is perfectly straight.

Depending on what type of rod it is & how clean of a break it is you can get away w/ a tip kit...
If the break is too far from the tip you may have to re-space your guides...
Also make sure you don't have any stress fractures from the impact that run parallel to the blank b/c you will have to cut past these...If you have to cut it place tape over the area you want to cut and use a high speed dremel type tool to make the cut.

throw it away, buy a new one and take an anger management class....
Just kidding..... I have one that I stepped on and fixed, it is now my favorite jigging pole.... Good and stiff.
