Hey, guys. Gonna try my luck down in North Carolina for Labor Day weekend. Does anyone down there know a good place to take a few kids to wade out in the water and do some crabbing with some handlines, maybe a few traps? I know that the Sound is supposed to be packed with crabs, but was hoping for some specifics I can take the kids. We'll be staying in Rodanthe, about 1/2 south of the pier.

I was there in Sept 04 mysaelf (sorry if this is too late). I asked a local and he told me to goo right across from the Chicamocimo( spelling) Life saving station on the sound side at he emergency ferry landing. We went there with handlines and caught many crabs. Only 3 were legal, but had a ball.
