Crabbing in Ocean City??

As I am new here, I've done alot of searching and reading about crabbing....as there is alot of good information on here, since I haven't been crabbing in a few years, but I am getting back into it.  So I was wondering if 1 - there were any good public docks in Ocean City, NJ and 2 - if there were any good places to rent a boat for a day of crabbing in the same area.

I used to crab out of lavallette at a real good public pier, but I haven't been there in at least 10 years.

There's a public pier at around 12th or 13th st. in OC on the bay.  THere is also Frank's in Strathmere to rent boats.  Good Luck

Try the old ramp at the base of the 34th St bridge.  There is a small dock that has been an OK producer for me in the past.  You could also try the creeks behind the restuarants as you approach the bridge from the mainland.  This was my "spot" before I bought the boat.  If you decide to rent a boat, try the creek across from the power plant near the rt 9 bridge/parkway bridge or behind the condo's in Somers Point near Kennedy Park.  Good luck.
