Good morning fellow crabbers!  Looks like I may be moving to NC about 45 minutes south of Raleigh along the I95 corridor.  Where will I be able to take the kids crabbing and how far would you estimate it to be from my new location?

Crabbing will be about and hour or so east of your new location. After getting settled in I would suggest a visit to the coast. Go to the North Carolina Dept. of Transportation and request a free highway map and a coast map of North Carolina. They will mail it to you. Hope this help. Remember don't say " this is how we did it up North." This will not endear you to the locals.

http://www.ncgov.com/ gives ya basic start to the state and for NC DOT>http://www.ncdot.org/

Since ya are moving sorta near Wilson/Smithfield area, I would think it would closer for ya to run HWY 70 East towards the coast, from there, you've got Morehead City, Beaufort etc. But if ya live closer to Wilson, then I would run HWY 264 East towards OBX, lot's of little towns off Hwy 264 (not far off and is a scenic road tour) but stop in Bath, Belhaven etc.
