if you go east of smyrna to woodland beach its not bad there, youll get plenty of crabs right now but not the ratio of keepers to illegals that you want, but if you're going out to get a few dozen and enjoy the catch, you can go out there

Went out this past Sunday between Cedar Swamp (Collins Beach) and Woodland Beach.  We hit the tide going out and got about a 1/4 bushel.  The crabs that were keepers were huge.  On the average probably around 7 inches and some were pushing 8.  We had a great day out on the river.  It's better than a great day at work that's for sure.

I catfished just south of the C&D I think at augustine beach last night, notices lots of little taps and pulls on my bait (cut perch) and dropped a perch fillet on a jighead close to shore. Caught around 6 blueclaws, 1 was 5" the rest were small, very happy to see they are around though! Think Ill try actually targeting them tonight.

JP57, From everyone I've talked to it seems to be mostly out in the river toward the bay.  They've been running between 8-12ft.

Thanks for the tip crabino.
I don't know how they were doing but I saw people crabbing off of route 9 today all the way up to just south of reedy point bridge.
