When I was a kid we hand lined in the creeks that run through the marsh behind Clinton Beach.

I went to the Clinton town dock's and was walked the dock's checking the peirs and the flaps of the boat's. I had box's and traps set but the 30min I was there I had enough to satisify my crab lust for the week, about 10 crab's. I have to say this was one heck of a lucky find. Only because Iv'e been from NewHeaven down to Uncusville and Norwich. every day a new town, crabbing the many many different area's and would only catch maybe 5 in 2 hour's. Is it me or is this crabbing season really low? Or, they are just late getting up here?? They prob ran into the used tirefield they dumped into the ocean which is frikkin 500miles long. urghh. and then the trash from the cbay, then the oil of new york. maybe they are fed up with the water quality and are staying near the connecticut river where the fresh water/saltwater merge.
