So, I used my $10 crabpot (yard sale) today
Tried the harborside of the Island off a bridge-let em soak allnight-zip- chicken was not even touched.
But I live on the gulf side of the island so I tried the surf tying off on some pilings under a couple of shops that go over the water in the morning. ahhhh
1 trap- about four hours, checking three times netted me just shy of a bushel of 6" to 7" ers
nothing huge however, threw a bunch of little ones back .
Can MUMBO's even get into a crab pot?
does anyone else use crab pots in surf? (the gulf is like a big lake right now)
Any advice?

Ask Timaeus about catching Mumbos.  She'll lie about everything you need to know.
