First, what is a Mino?  If you mean Minnow, then I would love to see a Pic of a 5-6 inch one.

They have replacement netting - wire type - was just there today - for crab nets - if it is string netting unless you knot it you will need to disassemble the net ring, fish the new net on and the fasten the net ring again. Ask your French Teacher she will know more.

i don't think i can take the ring out because it looks like it has been welded on.
i don't know if it was knotted or not.
can i buy a replacement string netting that i use knots too get on?

Well this is an idea that I did not consider, yes you could buy raw string, then knot and weave it as needed to avoid taking the net apart - you are stunning at times - it is unbelievable just how inspiring you are.

sorry. i must have worded it wrong.
is there a type of string netting you can buy too put on the loop of the crab net without taking the crab net apart, because it is welded on and i do not have a welding set or know anyone with one.

I would think you could with some imagination fasten and existing string net to an existing wire hoop - I do it with chicken wire when making crab nets - if you are making a crab net use chicken wire, less tangles - get the crab out faster.

It is more advantageous to use metal on a crab net.  It facilitates the easy removal of a reluctant crab.  Crabs have a tendency to tangle "string" nets

Were they bull minnows or figure mullet.  Either way why cut them up, 5-6 incher are perfect size for Reds or trout.  I'm not sure what ya'll fish for up there.

I agree with Rad and Tattoo...wire is better for crabs.....less tangles....and believe me...I've had a few..... Smiley  You can use a single strand of wire to attach the netting to the hoop if the hoop is attached to the handle permanently and can't be easily removed.

OK ill buy some chicken wire. i have an aluminum crab net that has chicken wire. i was hoping too double the string net as a fish/crab net. but I'm good with using chicken wire.
