Was rainy and blowing all week here.  I could not make up my mind to continue crabbing or hang it up for the season.  Mother Nature decided for me.  When I can see the bottom of the tub it's time to quit. Pots are put to bed and the Crab Barge is too.   Cry

I think I will stay crabbing till the end of the season. The price of males is high enough for me to make a days work and since I won't be dredging this year I need to work as much as possible. This was a plentiful year down here. Can't wait for the new season.

Yes, it will be back before you know it!  I am happy for the break.  This is why I like living around here..we are literally stopped from doing what we love to do most...but the break is nice.  If crabbing was allowed 12 months per year, we'd grow tired of it.  A break is a good thing. 

But all in all, it is a very sad day when you know you are done for the season!
