Most people crab on the causeway to St. Simons Island. There are public places on the bridge that separates people from cars. If you are not comfortable crabbing with cars passing you at 60 mph try crabbing and fishing off of the pier at the Village downtown St. Simons. As for Brunswick I am not aware of any place where people crab. I am sure that there are some places. Hope this helps.

The water temperature is hovering around 60 degrees. As the water chills down the crab begin to burrow into the mud. With that said you can crab all winter for crabs in Georgia. It is just slower. You should be able to crab on the St. Simons Island causeway through December. It has been a cooler November than normal. It has been in the mid 50's here which is about 15 degress below normal. So much for global warming.
