SH, Still there, and they were full of sea lice, which makes me believe they are still coming up.

Sweet! If I didn't have a four hour drive each way, and my wife wouldn't kill me for spending the money, I'd try to get another trip in. Guess I'll just have to wait til next year.

I must say once again a fantastic trip with captain Pete and all you guys.. Great seeing you all again,,, Summertop, Seeweed, Islander, Crabbyd, and Captain Pete... I had a great time and it was just awsome seeing 2 huge fish hooked on a tandem rig taking 4 guys to pull them in.. There was no way I could have helped with that rod,,, seeing all you guys having trouble yourselfs... I would have ended up in the drink.. Hope your arms are ok today John,,, you pulled in some serious fish...

What a great trip
The wind was howling and the capt didn't have a good feeling about things going out, but with all the bait we saw everywhere, we knew the big fish had to be around. Those fish were so fat, most of the pictures don't do justice to their actual size. We've had trips where we caught more fish, but this ranks up towards the top in terms of quality.
Everyone went home with plenty of fillets
The highlight had to have been the double hookup on the umbrella rig... we thought maybe we had a gillnet or a bunch of crabpots... the 44-incher and the "small" fish at about 34-35"... 78" of pissed off, spinning fish that took a long time to finally get in!
The wind and seas layed down towards late morning, and everybody had a great time, myself included

For a day fishing you could not have asked for a better day. Great captain and great friends enjoying a day on the water. As for the weather, it could have been a little better. The water was rough to start the day but after an hour or so, the wind started to lay down and so do the waves. We left the dock with 15-20 out of the NW and it seemed to get worse for a while before it let up and we finished the day with 2-3' after having some 5-6' early on. The wind and waves didn't stop the bite. Here are a few pics from T's camera. Last pic is John with his first of the day , the first T couldn't be out done. Hers was fatter then Johns and just a hair longer. Next 2 is of Mike with the bucket mouth of the day (one of the double header).
