that doubleheader [dang]-near caused 3 heart attacks
3 heart attacks? I think all of us could have been done after those two came in. It felt like it took 30 mins to pull them in.

For a day fishing you could not have asked for a better day. Great captain and great friends enjoying a day on the water. As for the weather, it could have been a little better. The water was rough to start the day but after an hour or so, the wind started to lay down and so do the waves. We left the dock with 15-20 out of the NW and it seemed to get worse for a while before it let up and we finished the day with 2-3' after having some 5-6' early on. The wind and waves didn't stop the bite. Here are a few pics from T's camera. First one is John with his first of the day. Second, T couldn't be out done. Hers was fatter then Johns and just a hair longer. Next 2 is of Mike with the bucket mouth of the day (one of the double header).
The little one in this picture looks a bit...............................fished out?

nope just a bad shot of her. She had a ball and wasn't ready to go back in. All she has talked about for the last 2 days was the trip.

It is OK... relax.. they invited me and I would have gone but, I had to work. Maybe next time, sorry I missed wheeling in a nice rock it has been several years since I have caught a nice rockfish... caught some little ones here and there, but miss that big fall / winter run of em. Last big fish I caught have been Cobia down your way in OBX. caught two last year 35-40 lbs and 5 the year before 35-50 lbs each sight casting for those dudes is awesome using 20 lb test spinning gear...... I highly recommend it if you ever get a chance... but nothing like a big mess of rockfish flopping around the boat... those guys had a good trip....
