I just wanted to let everyone know that I lowered the regular "Supporting Member" donation level to $10/year.  Shocked

Regarding existing $25/year Supporting Members, I added two years to the length of your membership (so, in essence, a $25 donation gave you a three year membership). If your membership had expired, then it's now reactivated for the duration of the additional two years.  Cool

I made this change because I personally feel that $25 is just too much to ask.  Undecided

Contact me personally if you have any questions. Thanks!!  Smiley

Oh, and I know this is bound to come up... why did I remove the enter-your-own-amount donation level?

First, it's not a fair system.

Second, it was being abused. Believe it or not, I had quite a few people make $0.01 (one cent) donations in order to become Supporting Members. I know that in the past I said *any* amount made someone a Supporting Member, but seriously... a one-cent donation is a slap in the face... it's like leaving a one-cent tip to your waiter... it's just not right.

I think $10/year is reasonable if you want to help support this place. [Sam Hill], that's the price of a single ticket for the movie theater... and that only entertains you for 2 hours!

Thanks everyone!
