That's a nice gadget Rich... like the T-track. Finally, you have something that will give an accurate measurement...

MUZTY CRAB NEEDS TO PUT A PATENT ON THAT. I WOULD BUY ONE
Patents are expensive due to the attorney involved is a special type of attorney with scholling over and above just the regular bar exam, and then, say you have to defend said patent by taking someoone else to court for infringement, it still costs quite a lot to do that on top. Just a couple months back I was looking at info on the subject and talking to people. I think it is approx. 70K to patent anything and that cost comes after the patent search required to see if your idea is in fact unique enough to be patented. If you do go to court after all that and win a case over infringement, the fees you incurred to defend it are added to the value of your product/trademark/patent (balance sheet) but with all those steps, it's often just an expensive losing battle to get into... I'd say just go with it... I have a friend with a patented idea/product and he has people making his exact patented idea right under his nose but it's just not worth it to get into it with them depending on who they are. It just becomes a market share game. But, proceed. Make them and prosper
