Somebody can tell me, in my shedding tanks I must change the water?  I have a closed system.
Thanks. Smiley

I don't know for sure. But like any aquarium, I would think a partial (50%) water change once a month would be beneficial. There are nutrients that build up in the water that can't be removed by filtration and eventually reach toxic levels. Changing only half of the water helps to lessen the 'shock' on the fish, plants, etc.

Thanks, Black Irish you have all the reason.
The change of water will help the crabs to molt, I hope.  Cool

It's gonna be a long winter, Osthoff. I don't think that crab stands a chance of avoiding the frying pan  Grin Grin Grin

You say that now, Janice. I'm thinking sometime around  Roll Eyes .... hmmm.... Super Sunday, halftime, you get up for another beverage and you notice 'little' (now 6") Jimmy has just shed his shell  Cheesy... you calmly walk over to the stove, heat up the cast iron skillet, a pat of butter, some leftover bacon from breakfast, get out the mayo, salt & pepper, lettuce & tomato, a big crusty roll...  Cheesy.

As the juice is running down your chin and the second half kickoff is in the air, you'll be thinking about how to keep a swimming pool full of crabs alive for next winter  Wink Grin.
