Dfran, it is PETA not PITA.. they are not the same as flat bread..... yes nut bags to be sure.. we use to provide service to their phone system and their voicemail blew up and i wa son call and got to site in rockville, MD and walked in wearing camo and and DU hat and they flipped out on me beign a hunter.....so I said OK I will ealve, but I am still billing youa 4 hours to show up and leave..they were T and M customer.... worse part was the guy gave me grief while he wore leather shoes and leather belt.. and then preached about the evils of hunting.. I responded with well how many acres of wetlands have you saved in America let alone Canada and Mexico..... he tried to tap dance a round ..and I said cause it is 0.. unlike DU....instead you are too busy throwing red paint on people wear a fur coat..etc .. like that is helping anyone....

Well I always wear a hat being folickly challenged..... but it just happend to be the camo Ducks Unlimited hat I grabbed at 2 AM..... heading down to the after hours call out. what gets me is they say they help things.. conservation, nature habitat etc.. but do they really. Most sportsman organizations do way more in protecting habitat, land, stocking resources like trout, or releasing turkeys or pheasants like national Turkey Federation or Pheasants Forever....DU has purchased millions or acres of wetlands that is not hunted..... Meanwhile they do nothing except attack people and destroy property all in the aim to get Publicity for their cause.... but I really think it is to get publicity for themselves..... When you go down to the Outer Banks... they even bought a billboard.. saying "Fish don't fell pain... that is the biggest fish tale of em all..... throw a away your tackle and contact PETA for me info." Now you have to realize that 90% of the folks going down to OBX willl fish, or crab etc at least 1 day of their stay. It is a hugh business / industry there yet they want nothing more than to run it under......It just gets me they say they are conservationist group.... when I was there for their down voicemail system.. and the guy went into his speal.. I just calmly asked .. so how many acres has PETA purchased as sanctuary or habitat.... his answers was....UHHHHH.. Not sure.. but that isn't the point...!...So I am sorry to say, but I view them as a very radical fringe........well fanatical.....but it was a true story.. they got billed and nothing got fixed..... as they did not want a hunter and animal murderer on there premise.... problem is 90% of the techs all hunted and fished where I use to work. So they had a heck of a time getting anyone that they would even let on site, let alone who even wanted to go there.....

Still down 4 inches and change for the year, if it keeps it up, might be crabbing in the lilly pads again. The salt line will make a good year for the GP and north.

We have only had 4.56 inches of rain so far this year down here. Last time it was this bad, 2003 I think, we were catching 4 foot sharks from our pier...
