The ruling could have more implications then just winter dredging, in both Virginia and Maryland.

I have to agree with the state here. Crab populations need to rebound.

You are right but in order for that to happen back to historical levels then NYC,Philly,Baltimore,DC and all the other citys on or in the watershed need to be bulldozed down and returned to nature with nobody allowed to live with in 20 miles of a waterway and then make it a class 3 felony to even have a chicken neck on the boat!!

That's because kittens are to frisky for the young lad.  He likes those mellowed out ol' cats.  Grin

Ray, be careful how long you hunt those cougars...cause when you get to my age, that means the cougars are in their 80's and 90's.   Shocked Grin

That's aewsome. My brother had one of his best seasons in 25 years of crabbin out of Nassawadox last year. Loads of small crabs all over too. I think they need to raise the [dang] striper limits and let the gillnetters catch more and then watch crab get even more plentiful. i could barely dogfish cause of the rockfish being so thick 2 miles off Assateague. The ocean  and bays are overrun with rockfish and dogfish they need to be thinned out to help all other species. The government gets involved and ruins everything. The public needs to go see for themselves and not just believe what they read, yeah some writer for the paper has really spent alot of time crabbin. Good Luck to all crabbers!
