I am just getting settled in this area after moving with the Army and have not lived in this area for years. I am looking for a good spot to take my kids crabbing. This weekend looks nice but I am not sure if it is too early for the area near the Occuquan River. Thanks for any help.

Way to earley for the Occoquan...You won't see crabs up there untill August or Sept.

If you wanted to go crabbing this weekend, first... keep an eye on the weather. Second, head out to the bay bridge. Only an hour.
You won’t catch dinner, but you should get some.
   The point would be spending time with your kids. It's a nice experience for you, but a great life long memory for them. Fill'em up with those.
