I live in Jacksonville Florida and fish in the Mayport area. I am looking for a spot for my first crabbin adventure. Anyone have any advice as in where to go to? Thanks and Merry Christmas.

First off...you need to find an area where the water is more fresh...brackish.  This would be your backwaterways...further away from the main ocean going waterways.  Check out maps of the area...and find roads that cross these smaller waterways and go and check them out.  Just through a quick look...I would suggest checking out the small waterways by route/hwy 10 which runs perpendicular to Neptune Beach (just above Jacksonville Beach).  The smaller waters there feed into the intercoastal waterway.  Check out the bridges/causeways that cross waterways for easy access points....and go have some fun.  This is how I always find new places to go crabbing...mainly new access points.  Good Luck!!
