Heading to Ocean City, MD and will do a little recreational crabbing and camping. I am not an avid crabber, but my kids love using crab traps from a dock. I have a few questions about the Maryland Coastal Bays, Tributaries and Atlantic Ocean Sport Fishing regulations:

1) I do not see a Wednesday crabbing restriction in the regulations, does the no recreational crabbing restriction apply to Ocean City or just the Chesapeake Bay?
2) Regulation states "Mature Female Crab no Minimum Size". Female restriction only applies to Chesapeake Bay from what I read in the regulations?
3) Crab pots can only be used from a privately owned dock (from what I read I have to assume we can not use a crab pot)?

Thanks,

Paul

Crabbing in Ocean City would be in the Atlantic Ocean bays and tributaries not the Chesapeake so there are some different regs. I'm not familiar with the rec regs but look for special rules for Worcester County on the DNR site. Those will apply.

You're right on all three regs you cited. You can crab on Wed. You can keep females, and no pots unless you own a pier or dock or have land.
