Does anyone crab off rental boats in LI?  It is quite common in the NJ bays and makes for a fun day on the water.  Last year I tried Silly Lilly's in Center Moriches in the middle of the summer will little success. Nice people but I think they exaggerated the amount of crabs found in that area.  Plus, if I'm not mistaken, my weed wacker has a bigger engine then the boat we were using.  I'm a transplanted NJ native.  On a good day I used to catch 2 dozen jumbos using only drop lines and chicken in Barnegat Bay.  Granted, the last couple seasons everywhere have been light but I'm willing to give LI one more shot, otherwise I'm heading south for the summer.
