Wow great .I ran 1800 ft on herring Creek last summer and got a measly 23 crabs,DNR did have a chat with me too,it was a weekend and I was too close to the channel,It was too choppy in the bay,but herring creek gets way too much traffic on weekend for that long of a line

Hi Pugs:

Nice report and good catch...I did the Tred Avon in MD last Thursday...the worst I have ever done in Mid May...See my post on the MD crabbing reports....(5) crabs ! Ugh....

I live in DE, but crab all the time down in MD.  I did have a chance to see the boat ramps down at the Indian River couple months ago. I got to talking to a local down there, who said if you run trot-line (I run 600 ft) you can get in there but you have to watch the tides.  Do you mind telling me where Herring Creek is at?  This guy I was talking to also said something about if you head east away from the channel  Ocean, get close to the Electric Plant(?) I am always little nervous when I try new places and rely heavily on others who have been there and done that.

Thanks for any information and good luck this season.
