Correct, I AM a potter, mainly. I also run a line on the days im not potting. I don't know of any rivers north of the bay bridge where your allowed to set your pots in a river.
Ok. Good luck. Just haven't heard of enough longlining (not to mention only 1200') up north to make it even worth the while. As much as i (like you)don't appreciate giving away areas where i'm running, also hate to see giving false hope to these guys on here also. Doesn't mean i'm right abou tyour assessment though. see ya

Who's "the rest of us?" How many of the 8000 registered users do you think are here sharing info? Majority are here to ride coat tales, cause they don't want to work for a catch, they want fish in a barrel.
And by the way, it is possible to share lots of helpful info without posting detailed reports. I'm all for helping out...gear, techniques, engines, maintenance, prop sticks, where to buy stuff, etc.
Mr. Ray is pointing out the obvious cause & effect he and many others have observed here: reports=crowds. Fair enough to me.
eddieoko, I would think with little ones, the last thing you want is a mob next time out...just saying.
Well written intelligent reply
but there is no way Domino could string this many sentences together and make sence, his wife must have written this

Im telling you what I know.....no crabs in the elk yet of any count, yeah if you want to spend 5 hrs to get a doz go for it, but no crab yet. We all know this year has been slow cause of all the early rain. I live in Elkton and am still going down state to crab...trust me I dont like getting up that early when I can crab at home. Crabs are in! I was out on the Elk yesterday with 30 topless for 4 hours and came home with just over 3 dozen keepers. Lots of small crabs and most of the keepers just made it. Not too long now before we're filling baskets.
Just Kidding! Or am I?!?!?!

the reality of the situation is :::
you put it on the internet and SIX BILLION PEOPLE around the world can read your post and it stays viewable forever minus 2 days.
In essence, you are publishing your information to the world - It is not a text message or email
It's your decision
hence the good/bad of the internet

I would say your kidding.
I would say that was my little bro and hmmmm......I ate some crabs.......Saturday was windy as [Sam Hill] and very hard to pull a pot!!!! Lots of arguing about captain skills but none the less.....MMMMMM....love those elk crabs.
And we will be out alot through the next week and a half and will gladly post honest reports and pics!!!
Also no problems with telling everyone where we are.........Sorry if the people who only look for fish in a barrel find out. But the people who actually post here deserve honesty. BS is just a waste of time for everyone and if you can't contribute, just keep all comments to yourself!!!!!

Or was it April 10, and the crabs had their jet packs on to get up that far that early?
