I do most of my crabbing in the Delaware River right outside of Sunoco and Conoco Philips. The crabs get really big there and they taste really good. But when you cook them your whole kitchen smells like diesel for about a week?!?!?! J/K!!

Diesel crabs just have more chicken neck eating power. They are to expensive to crab for. I am just gonna stick to the elk river poop plant crabs!!!

Good luck to all this coming weekend, Captain Hook and I will be heading to OCMD for the week this saturday. Taking both of our boats, both of our women, and all of our crabbing and fishing gear. Should be a blast if the weather doesn't get the best of us. I am hoping to hear about all the crabs that you caught in the ELK when we were gone. Don't forget your camera and we won't forget ours.

yeah just make sure the date is set right.....when I say no crabs in the Elk I mean, enough to go. Yes I know for a sure (saw it first hand) that you can spend 4 hrs and catch a doz..saw it Tue, but thats not my style. Half a bush and I will say the crabs are here. So thats my true to the fact report my friends. I will report if I go this weekend. Its been warm so might give her a shot Sun with the kids. I guess they will have fun anyway and if we dont catch any...Crab Shack here we come lol

I think we may have seen you. We crabbed a little south of Triton for 2 hours or so in 6-8 ft. 3 crabs. We found another guy crabbing with his family on the way back to Elk Neck and gave him the crabs. He said he had a half bushell and had been out there for 6 hours. Anybody from the site crab the elk this morning? I saw 3 people out there. Took a slow cruise down on my boat, anyone see me?

All I care about is that comm guy (weekend) with the flat bottom tin boat in the upper elk learns that pulling his trot line way to the side and yelling that traps are too close gets a new personality. I know this year if he starts harassing people I will call the law. We all should know the rules and give the comm's plenty of room they are making their living. I always sit in my boat at least 15 minutes to make sure I don't set up even close to anyone else. I bring kids along and they don't need to witness behavior like that. The time he yelled at me the line was so tight and pulled to the side that the bait was out of the water 20 feet from the boat no way he was crabbing. he pulled the line up next run. (triton marina area)

Hey Mr. Hook,,, if there's crabs I know you will find them,, You know me I prefer to go south,, But I also think I don't have to go as south as I have been... Right now the crabs are scatterd about and it's very hard pickings,,, But I'm sure the river just south of us is producing some nice crabs...
