Was down near Rehobeth for the last four days and got a little crabbing in.  Was staying off Love creek so both times just launched out of there and ran out towards the mouth out near that marsh island.  There are millions of crabs in this place however about 7% of the ones you catch are keepable.  Ran 600' of line with necks on both occasions and had crabs on basically ever other bait, just hardly any keepers.  Alot of whites were observed I think they just had a shed down there, also got a few softies.

Does anyone know where to find larger crabs next time I'm there, or is this the norm having to sift through all the little ones?

On a side note the fishing down there was horrible as well.  Drifted all through the bay from marsh island to the "ditch" massey's landing and didn't catch anything.  Got 2 croakers and a small sea bass while in the ditch.  Any tips on the fishing down here?

Oh yeah, now I know why everyone from DE goes to maryland for their crabs.

You need to go out in the river or in  the rehobeth bay.Drift the coast  guard station or around burtons island.South jetty on the inside of the bridge is good too. Just look for drop-offs and rips in the water..

Try around the Power Plant in IR.
Love Creek you get excited when you catch one 5 1/2" or more. Most are just barely legal. When I go I stay in the creek and run my line close to the shore. Channel is supposed to be 3ft deep but don't believe it. More like 18".
If you fish go to IR side of the ditch.

My original plan was to crab down by the plant, but some lady a few places up said don't waste your gas going down there, all the crabs you want right out of the creek.  Well she wasn't lying about the crabs, she just forgot to mention don't expect many keepers
