Male fish in Potomac having eggs?

Did you guys see the news last night? I couldn't believe it! They said they found male bass fish with eggs in them. They originally thought they were lesions, but upon further inspection they found them to be eggs. I hope they find the cause of this soon.

It's nature's way. Frogs change their sex depending on whether the opposite gender is near.

Aaah yes it has finally occured, nature has found a way for the male species to exist without a female!

Could the Striper be on it's way to becoming protogynous hermaphrodites much like Black Sea Bass?

Or maybe the news didn't have its facts straight....ever think of that??
But yes...protogynous hermaphrodidity could be the end result.....and exactly how many people know what that means?

Actually, it is rather common in fishes. Happens quite frequently with common aquarium fish... Normally, fish first mature as females and then change to males.. Tropical fish, swordtails, seem to do this when the mix of female to males is heavy on the female side.

So does that mean that if we get more females on here that you men will start switching to females?
