Embarassed   I still dont get it.   You get a citation just for catching an oversized fish?  Or for keeping it?  Im a little slow.

IN VA YOU CAN GET A CITATION FOR RELEASE AS WELL AS LENGTH OR WEIGHT BUT NOT ALL 3
YOU ARE ALLOWED ONLY 1 WEIGHT CITATION PER SPECIES PRE YEAR
RELEASE MUST HAVE A WITNESS STATEMENT
I GOT THIS ONE  FOR A STRIPER I LANDED IN JAN 2005
I JUST GOT THE ACTUAL PLAQUE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO

Wow, only 40" for a rockfish citation?  I could wallpaper my house, just with my trips to VA Beach laugh laugh

I have  a citation for a croaker that was only 14".  At that time that was a big one, now its up to 18"

And I bet I've caught a few 13" white perch, but never turned them in.
