Lookin' to go crabbing Friday (8/7) in the Manahawkin Bay area, NJ...I was just wondering if anyone has been in the area recently, and if the crabs are biting.  I was there about three weeks ago, close to 5 hours; pulled 18 nice sized crabs all males, clean, big claws, roughly 5-5.5'' point average. I was curious if anyone has heard any recent reports. Let me know. And alas, happy crabbin'.

Good luck, just saw a report from JWAD56 that the crabbing was good, find a good spot and I am sure you will do fine.  I will be further north of you in the Barnegat.  The tides are low around 0700 so we should be good on the incoming.   Grin

Thanks Sunpal! I'll definitely be posting after we get back...I'll try not to catch them all...and it looks as though the forecast for all next week looks nice down there, so hopefully the tides and the crabs will be just as cooperative. Good luck! Smiley
