Interesting...wonder if we crabbers can do some crab composting on our own...it could help in a small way...does anyone do any composting here?

Janice, It used to be a big part of my gardening era.. the hotest I ever got compost to was in the 160's..  Wink Roll Eyes

My dad has a compost pile.  I'll see if I can't give my shells to him! Grin

Here is a suggestion. Invest in a peeler pot (for those who don't know,same, as a hard pot but smaller mesh). The next day you have the trash use it as bait in the peeler pot. Put it in a bag and step on it to make it smaller. You will be surprised on what you will catch. The trash is the best bait for blow toads (AKA "Chicken of the sea"). They are easy to fillet right on the spot and you end up with a large piece of meat on a single bone like a chicken leg. Fry just like chicken. If you don't catch blow toads you should catch eels. Use them to eat or best of all chop up for fresh bait.
Try it out and you won't be disappointed.
