I find this quite interesting and I agree this is not the time to lift the restrictions as many many factors must be taken into consideration - truthfully I feel the restrictions on females should never be lifted for the recreational crabber nor should the dredging of crabs ever be allowed again. JMHO

I started crabbing this year last week in May, started of great 1/2- 3/4 bushel of nice nice crabs per trip,ever trip since then seeing more small crabs and less keeper, could these small crab be from new reg in MD,VA in the lasts years, When i crabbed rocky point last week only caught 5 keepers, 150 small crabs, could of been worse,.no small crabs at all.
