I have not crabbed since early september and decided to head out wednesday, the day before thanksgiving.  Cought 20 keepers on droplines.  We went to buy bait and told the guy we were going crabbing and he thought we were crazy.  But we cought a good amount and had a fun time.  Anyway i was wondering if anyone ever catches anything this time of year.

My old man used to say that Thanksgiving crabbing was great(Shrewsbury).  Never saw him go though. LOL

The last trip of the season is usually best when the pot is filled that night.

Happy Holidays!

Outstanding, IBSP is shocking though, figured you would have said you were near Delaware  laugh.  Great catch and way to continue the great year in NJ.  Sadly I see your catch being the last.  Not too many board members heading out in Dec.   Cool

Years ago, I used to find some really nice crabs in December up Rt. 152 in Fallston, MD.   Roll Eyes  It was called Fallston Seafood.  Grin

Sadly, their quality went down, their prices went up, and my wallet got smaller.  dozey

The way the weather outside is now I doubt it will matter, most of the bay is probably frozen over      xmas
