Whats your thoughts on a crab license plate for the front of a vehicle? I have been searching for a while now and cant seem to find one. Any chance you mite be interested in doin this steve??? In the store that is? Was thinking something simple like just a picture of the blue crab or something like that? Just a thought, I am sure there is someone else here that would buy one!

Na I am actually looking for a whole license plate. Think I might actually look into getting a blank license plate and adding one of the stickers or something. Getting bored with my mossy oak plate

I believe he is talking about the front of the car in states that don't have a front tag. As such, just mount a crab on the front or better yet - as a hood ornament
In maryland if you get 200 people or so, you can get vanity plates but they're like 35-50 bucks more per year.

In states that require cars to have two license plates, I heard it's got to do with the police being able to read your license plate in their rearview mirror, but its probably to give prison inmates more to do with their free time....

well theymay go to 1 plate ij MD form what I heard on the news the other day. they said they could save $500,000 annually if they go to 1 tage per vehicle in MD. It is just in the proposal stage now so you never know MD might go to 1 tag like Del and PA.....then the need for crab tags may increase...

Here in NJ you can get special interest (vanity) plates if you want to pay extra. More revenue for the state. By eliminating one plate and charging the same price they could increase revenue ..which they won't use wisely I'm sure.

Maryland State Police have a small box mounted in the grill area of their cars that can read a license tag. Any info on the tag then comes up on their screen in the cruiser. The info could be suspended tags because of lapsed insurance , failure to appear for vehicle emission testing, or wants and warrants on the owner.

Just to clarify, I am not looking for a state issued vanity tag for the front of my truck. Here in De. we are only required to have one state tag on your vehicle. I currently just have a mossy oak camoflauge plate on the front of my truck. I am looking for a crab, or even a fishing type tag for the front of my truck. Was thinking maybe a white background with the blue crab info logo crab in the center or something like that, not a state issued tag with some letters and numbers with a scene behind it

You can get one of those dealer advertisement tags that are plastic (comes with new cars) and flip it over to the blank side, apply a BCA sticker.

Actully, they're rather large camera attached to the rear trunk on the cruisers, one on each side facing forward. Very obvious.......they're the same technology Baltimore city uses to boot and tow parking ticket violators. The small box I think your referring to, is the siren.
