Alright, this weekend I'm going to try to go crabbing for the first time. My brother-in-law is coming down from Maine and he loves fishing. As I go permission from my wife to go out and play (lol) she wanted me to go catch her some crabs while I was out. I've never crabbed but it looks and sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

I'm looking for any suggestions on good places to try and crab along the southern shore of the Chesapeake. I keep reading that along the beach is good spot (20ft depth area). I thought I remembered seeing a shoal just inside the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on one of my charts (I don't read that one much, lol.)

ANY help would be great, and any help I can give is always welcome.

You can reach me on my VHF (DSC #: 338099129) if I'm on the water.

By the way, if you are unfamiliar with VHF DSC, it is a great system. It enables the USCG to find you faster is there is an emergency, and it also allows you to hail a specific vessel if you have there DSC #. Just putting it out there  Wink
