Help! I live in the bryan/college station area of se texas. I would like to take my 3 kids crabbing. can anyone tell me of a place to go to in the kemah/ galveston/texas city area? I would sure like them to find out how much fun it is to go out & catch a mess of crabs, like i used to do when i was a kid in south louisiana. thanks!

even though I live in florida now, ( just moved from texas).  when I went cabbing in texas I used to go to crystal beach, just get on the ferry from galveston island to crystal beach ( port boulaviar) when you leave the ferry the next crossroad just passed the black lighthouse make a left (there is a motel with a store right there). drive back in ther and you will see an area for fising and crabbing just before the lttle bridge. to the left is good fishing, to the right is good make that great crabbing with a dropline and a net. hopr this helps. if you need more assistance ask. In that area there are a lot of places. that is the one I went the most....

fuzz,

If still looking for a place to crab in southeast Texas maybe you should check the local marina's and seafood docks in your area. You can learn valuable information on places and hot spots at these locations. I am to from south Louisiana and the crabs are plentiful from Texas to Florida. At this time of the year the warm Gulf waters are producing nice fat blue crabs. I hope you and your kids have a great time.

I am also looking for a good place to crab. I will be taking my 75 year old mom so I want it to be safe. Preferable with a bathroom.
Anyone know of a good place?
