We are Catching up to 24 bushels of crabs a day in Lower MobJack Chesapeake Bay. Mostly Female but all Mature. The Run crabs should be there within the next week. Looks plentiful at the moment. I would say the catch is up compared to last year myself at this time of year. The Water temp is averaging around 59 Degrees. Hope everyone has a great year of crabbing. Its all looking positive to our future.

That's always the case at the beginning of the season. On the good note them Jimmy's are looking good. Had three bushels Friday and I can bet there were only a half dozen that were under 6 Inches. A lot were 7 and even three or four 8 inchers. I check them when they look that big just to see if any 9 or 10 inch Males are in Virginia.lol

Yea, I thought price fixing was illegal. But I guess that doesn't pertain to the buyers. You know there is something FISHY when you can go from SC to MD and the buyers price are all the same. We need a Waterman/Buyer harvest price Committee so the buyers don't control the price of crabs.
