Things are picking up down South around Hatteras.. The Sponge (Bust) Crabs are starting to show up..3-10 to the pot.. I finished taking all my pots up and moved back home to start Soft Crabbing..

Gene, making me miss the banks man! I cannot wait to get back down there again. The wife and I will be in Topsail in June. We are however planning another trip to the outer banks with the extended family for next year! I cannot wait to fish the inlet again

Interesting.. The locals started laying peeler pots this morning... Full Moom in 7 days wouldn't have anything to do with it would it...

Even over towards my way crabs have picked up, good sign after a long wet cold winter. From what I understand, the females have come in full force this year. Some guys were getting 40-50 bushels off of 200 pots.
