Does anyone in NJ have any information on snapping turtles. I tried a few other sections of this forum with not much luck. Just some basics for this area i am new to NJ i currently live in southern NJ. I am originally from MD but the military has brought me up here. I was really just looking for a buyer and where it is legal to turtle at?

It is legal to catch and possess snapping turtles for personal use in NJ without a permit.

If you are going to sell them that you need to have a commercial harvest permit and report it.

I am at the megabase. I have already applied for the commercial harvest permit. I guess i was really just looking for a buyer and some spots where it is legal to go. I was only planning on 20 or so a week do you know anyone if this area.
