Thank you guys for contributing such useful information.  That will help tremendously to put together an itinerary for my visit to MD next year when I retire.  I don't know how many crab cake restaurant places I can visit in one week, but I'll give it my best shot.

Gotta try the Sobo Cafe, located just a short walk from Cross St Market.  They serve a good size crab cake with spuds and veggies for only $19.
