I know for a fact they are doing good at the IR . don't know about the Wye . will know more when the ramp opens.  Wink

dont know about numbers but crab quality is going to be much better in the wye if you can find them.

I would have to agree, Maryland crabs seem better to me. But that's just my opinion, and we know what opinions are like. LOL Undecided

They start catching crabs at IR in early May when the weather cooperates. You can get some huge numbers from IR. I can't speak for how they are doing at the Wye at this time, but quality is no comparison. Those IR crabs are a little funky if you ask me. Maryland River crabs are the best, IMO.
I would take a dozen or 2 of Maryland River crabs over bushels of those IR crabs.
Now clams on the other hand ....

Gotta agree......DE crabs dont stack up IMO......and I'm from the first state.  Haven't crabbed DE in 25 yrs and don't think I'm goin' back.  MD waters are the only waters for me.

Nice......easy......bushel off the Tred Friday.

yea I definitley agree with you guys on the fact that maryland crabs taste a whole lot better than delaware crabs. I heard the boat ramp at the wye was open as of today but they good have just been blowing smoke.. anyone know for sure if it is or not....?
