Gene,

We are renting a beach house in Kill Devil the week of August 15.  Need to get a packed bushel of #1 males (or jumbos depending on price) one afternoon.

What's the price range this year and how can I contact you?

Thanks!

No Problem... #1's are $80.00, we aren't getting many Jumbo's so far, so we're leaving any big crabs we catch in the #1's.. Call my cell  252 202 6469

Gene,  What would be a good time to pick up a bushel of #1's a week from today?  We are staying in Kill Devil, a couple blocks down from Avalon Pier.

Also, are you catching enough jumbos now to do a full bushel of those?

Thanks!!  see you next week!

Thanks again for the crabs.  Good meeting you, and we will be ordering again next year.

For anyone questioning the size and quality of Gene's crabs, and most importantly what a "packed bushel" really means, don't hesitate.  His crabs are great.

Glad you enjoyed em. and thanks again for the business...

I do have one more question for you..

I was coming back across the northern most bridge between Mann's and Roanoke Island, and I think I saw a pier jutting out into the sound.  Is that a public pier?   Looking for somewhere to fish the sound without renting a boat.   If you have some other ideas of good areas to fish the sound, please let me know.

Thanks

The causeway at Nags head, the pier that does the L at the end is private.  Owned by fishing unlimited ( Gene correct me if it has changed).  You can pay to use it... They also rent skiffs there for fishing.  I have taken the kids hand lining off of it, never any success.  You could catch as many fish using the bridge and not pay.
