15 of the traps came from Captain Moose (Captmoose on these forums) and the other 15 were purchased from Captain Bruce's Crabbing supplies.

Moose is a South Jersey local so you can save shipping by picking them up.   Both guys sell a quality product.

You can get pricing from CaptMoose (his board SN) by sending him boardmail.    Captain Bruce has a website at http://www.stackablecrabtraps.com.

Ron did you get any of those Plastic Screw Driver Handles for bait from Greg? They are the best thing I found so far for catching Plastic Crabs laugh laugh laugh laugh

Snuck out of the office today to take one of the company's vendors out to crab.     Hit the water around 1:30 pm or so in the pontoon boat with 30 topless traps baited with necks.

Good day out there.    Weather was good, greenheads weren't bad and the crabs were biting.    Did five runs through the traps and took away a full bushel.     A mix of large males, some large females and lots and lots of throw backs.    Several three and four crab pulls.

Just a warmup for this Saturday's big outing...    Some pictures to follow.

That was the right thing to do.

Bushel on 5 runs is great.

That was the right thing to do.

Bushel on 5 runs is great.

5 bushel on one run is better, but 1 bu on 5 is ok I guess.    Wink

Ron, the screwdriver handle is an inside joke.  You know, inside Keary's head!   laugh laugh laugh  I'll tell you on Sun.

I don't get it.    Huh

In one of Greg's posting showing snoods he has a plastic screw driver handle held in the trap by the snood to show how it works - when I teased hom about it the next picture showed a plastic crab.

I'm just shocked the screwdriver handle is still in the snood.

Bushel on 5 runs is great.

I thought so.   150 pulls of 60 pieces of bait @ 2 per trap (not including refreshed bait as needed) is a pretty good ratio I reckon.

You're worried about making your family angry instead of going crabbing?

You're priorities are clearly all effed up.    Wink

Picked up some traps from Captain Moose today.  Awesome traps and he had them together on very short notice.  What a difference in quality when I put them next to my other traps.  I can't wait to try them out tomorrow.  Looks like I'm going to be headed to Patcong for the first time tomorrow.  Hope to see you guys on the water.  I got the Tomcat III all loaded up and everything rigged and ready.  Time for a some shut eye and an early start.

Ronster....Nice crabs-Great pictures.Where did you get your tobless traps?

They look like Capt. Moose's topless traps and floats to me. The green line in the first pics is throwing me off, but those may just be his galvanized traps.

EDIT - I replied way, way late. Hahah. Sorry =)

The green lined ones are Captain Bruce traps.   All of the floats, including the Captain Moose traps I have, are from Captain Bruce.
